Guidelines

Guidelines vary from country to country but most include the following.

Headwear

Headwear can only be worn for religious purposes and even then facial features must be clearly visible.

Glasses

Glasses may be worn in passport photos but the eyes and eye sockets must be clearly visible with no light reflection on the glasses.

What to Wear

Uniforms of any description are not acceptable in most countries. A good rule of thumb is to wear something which contrasts with the background. White or grey clothing is usually not advisable.
